FOXBOROUGH Cheap Adrian Clayborn Jersey , Mass. (AP) Rob Gronkowski says coach Bill Belichick makes it easy for the New England Patriots to ignore distractions such as the one created by last week’s ESPN report.

”Throughout my years here I’ve seen a lot of negative, a lot of positive,” Gronkowski said Tuesday as the Patriots prepared for Saturday night’s divisional playoff game against the Tennessee Titans.

”The reputation that Coach tries to get us to have is just ignore the noise – ignore the noise from the outside and I feel like that’s what myself and a lot of other players have been doing.

Article continues below ...

”You just gotta ignore the noise and just focus on what we’ve been doing all year and that’s preparing hard, studying our opponent, getting ready, mentally and physically for the big game, so what’s going on on the outside, as a team, as an organization, just gotta keep grinding, keep going, keep doing our job.”

Gronkowski Cheap Vincent Valentine Jersey , healthy this season after missing last year’s Super Bowl-winning run, said such ”noise” will ”if anything it’s just going to bring us closer and it’s going to bond us together.”

The report concerned the relationship among team owner Robert Kraft, Belichick and Tom Brady, focusing on Brady’s role in the trading of backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers for a second-round draft pick.

Earlier Tuesday, Brady reacted strongly to the claim he was involved in moving Garoppolo, who won five straight games for his new team down the stretch of the season.

”I think that’s just such a poor characterization of anything. In 18 years, I’ve never celebrated when someone has been traded, been cut,” Brady said on his weekly appearance on Boston radio station WEEI.

”I would say that’s disappointing to hear that someone would express that, or a writer would express that, because it’s so far from what my beliefs are about my teammates.”

He continued, saying Cheap Trey Flowers Jersey , ”I would never, ever feel that way about when Jimmy got traded, when Jacoby (Brissett) got traded. I’ve kept in touch with all those guys. When Matt Cassel was gone. All these guys I’ve worked with, I felt like I had such a great relationship with all the quarterbacks I’ve worked with. I kept in touch with basically everybody. So to characterize that as a certain way is just completely, completely wrong.”

Gronkowski was asked if Brady is amped up even more than usual.

”I’ve gotten that question many times throughout my career and I’ve said this many times – it’s hard to see him go to another level of intensity because he’s always intense, he’s always preparing hard,” Gronkowski said.

”I’ve just seen him do the same old that he does every week, prepare hard, practice hard and get ready for the game.”

Defensive captain Devin McCourty was asked about the ESPN article.

”I don’t care about it and I think a lot of guys don’t really care about what goes on outside and who writes what and if we stink, if we’re great – it doesn’t matter.

”So, I just think guys are motivated by playing for each other, their families more than an ESPN article.

”I think it’s a great thing for our fans and people outside. I think they enjoy all of that Cheap Tom Brady Jersey , but I think for us, it’s just going out there and playing for each other.

”An ESPN article doesn’t help us when we go out there and it’s negative-9 degrees. Like you’re not going to be motivated to prove an article wrong. You’re just having fun playing with the guys.”

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks, in his first year with the team, was asked how they keep distractions out of their locker room.

”I think because the guys listen. Coach has been doing this for a while and he knows what the potential distractions can be,” Cooks said.

”I think he does a great job on letting us know what they are and as players we listen to him and being coachable and tune out the noise.”

NOTES: Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey, talking with New England reporters via a conference call, was asked what affect the ESPN story might have on the Patriots, said, ”You know what, I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know anything about it. I’m not a social media guy. I don’t know enough, I really don’t Cheap Tedy Bruschi Jersey , to make any comment about something like that.” … Gronkowski, talking about making AP All-Pro for the fourth time, said, ”It’s definitely an honor, a humbling honor, but it means nothing now to tell you the truth, it means nothing. It’s the playoffs now, it’s one-and-done if you lose, so you just keep on preparing, looking forward. … ”I’m just looking forward to this game, man – super excited to be back out there with the team.”

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) A man who stole a seat from U.S. Bank Stadium after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl has agreed to pay for its replacement.

Stadium manager SMG says it plans no further action against the Eagles fan. That seat and two other damaged seats were replaced Tuesday Colts Nyheim Hines Jersey , according to a release.

Video of the man with a purple seat in the stadium’s coat check generated more than 190,000 views on Facebook as of Wednesday afternoon. According to the Star Tribune Colts Tyquan Lewis Jersey , a traveler later snapped a photo of him at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, with the seat strapped to his carry-on suitcase.

Article continues below ...

Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority spokeswoman Jennifer Hathaway said the fan regrets his actions. The stadium keeps extra seats Colts Kemoko Turay Jersey , so the estimated cost to replace it, including labor Colts Braden Smith Jersey , is $125.

Hathaway said stadium officials don’t believe that removal of stadium seats is a widespread problem or that the man used any sort of tool.

”The fan was exuberant and excited and he pulled the chair out,” she said. ”This is someone forcibly removing an item that isn’t supposed to be removed.”

The authority said its use agreement with the NFL stipulates that the league is responsible for any damage to the stadium.

RENTON Jets Trenton Cannon Jersey , Wash. (AP) Seattle strong safety Kam Chancellor will miss the Seahawks’ game Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons and his status for the rest of the season is in doubt because of a neck injury sustained last week.

Coach Pete Carroll said Chancellor and the team are still exploring their options regarding the injury and no decisions have been made about his status for the rest of the season.

Chancellor spent much of the last week away from the team meeting with doctors to determine the severity of the injury and possible courses of action.

Article continues below ...

”We’re still looking at what our options are and we’ll continue to do that and evaluate what’s going on,” Carroll said. ”We’re working very closely with him on that. That’s it.”

Chancellor is the second member of Seattle’s talented secondary to lose time due to injuries sustained against the Arizona Cardinals. Cornerback Richard Sherman was lost for the season to a torn Achilles tendon and had surgery this week. Chancellor was apparently injured late in the win over the Cardinals on a tackle of Andre Ellington with just over two minutes remaining. He stayed in for one more play before leaving to be attended to on the sideline.

Seattle will get free safety Earl Thomas back for Monday’s game against Atlanta and Bradley McDougald will slide over to replace Chancellor. McDougald started the last two games at free safety as Thomas was sidelined with a hamstring strain.

”We are going to miss Sherm and Kam,” Thomas said. ”You can’t replace those guys. But the good thing about those two guys Jets Clive Walford Jersey , they’ve taught the younger guys that are going to be in their spots. I think we are going to be very prepared and I like our chances.”

Guard Luke Joeckel (knee) and linebacker Michael Wilhoite (calf) were also ruled out for Monday’s game. Both players are expected to return to practice next week. Joeckel will have missed five games after having knee surgery in October over the team’s bye week.

Left tackle Duane Brown and defensive tackle Jarran Reed are both questionable for the game. Brown did not practice all week due to a sprained ankle while Reed was able to return to limited duty on Saturday despite a hamstring strain.

”Jarran got pretty good work today, a little bit more than Duane did at this time,” Carroll said. ”We’re just kind of waiting all the way through the entire expanse of this break here to see if we can max it for Duane.”

Matt Tobin would start at left tackle in place of Brown if he is unable to play. Terence Garvin will take Wilhoite’s snaps at strong-side linebacker.

Chancellor was third on the team with 48 tackles this season. The injuries to Chancellor and defensive end Cliff Avril Jets Thomas Rawls Jersey , who has been on injured reserve with stinger issues of his own since mid-October, aren’t exactly the same but Carroll noted ”it’s a similar kind of circumstance right now.”

Chancellor has been the intimidating enforcer of Seattle’s secondary since taking over as a starter in 2011. He has the size and strength to play like a linebacker against the run, but the speed to cover wide receivers and tight ends down the field. He’s also been a key locker room leader for the Seahawks.

Chancellor Jets Terrelle Pryor Sr. Jersey , 29, agreed to a three-year extension before the start of the season worth up to $36 million with $25 million guaranteed. Two years ago, Chancellor was a training camp holdout because he was unhappy with his contract.

Any acrimony over the holdout dissipated and the new deal took away the chance that Chancellor would leave Seattle in free agency after this season. Chancellor’s first contract extension Jets Sam Darnold Jersey , signed in 2013, is set to expire after the 2017 season.

DALLAS (AP) Pharoh Cooper of the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City’s Tyreek Hill split 10 of the 11 first-place votes in The Associated Press kick returner rankings. The overall tally wasn’t nearly that close.

Cooper finished with 102 points Saints Marcus Davenport Jersey , 43 ahead of the Chiefs’ speedy multipurpose man because Hill was left off two ballots and barely made three others on the voting panel that includes Hall of Fame receiver James Lofton and 10 AP pro football writers.

Hill’s diminished role – he is no longer returning kickoffs and isn’t in the top 10 in average yards on punt returns – was the difference. The second-year player finished fourth with 59 points, also behind a pair of rookies in runner-up Jamal Agnew of Detroit and Dallas’ Ryan Switzer.

Article continues below ...

”For sheer excitement, he’d be No. 1,” wrote AP lead NFL writer Barry Wilner, who is based in New York. ”But the Chiefs hardly use him on returns the way they once did. He has only an 8.8-yard average on punt runbacks.”

The surprising Rams could be part of the reason Cooper was one of just two returners named on all 11 ballots (Switzer was the other). LA leads the NFC West and at 9-4 has clinched its first winning season since 2003.

Cooper, also a second-year man, had one of just three kickoff returns for touchdowns in the NFL going into Week 15, a 103-yarder in a 27-17 win at AFC South-leading Jacksonville. His 28.3-yard average on kickoff returns leads the league, and he has a solid 11.9-yard average on punt returns.

”Cooper has been a dynamic presence on special teams for the Rams, returning both kickoffs and punts, and establishing himself as a threat in both cases,” New York-based AP writer Dennis Waszak wrote.

”Big plays and a difference-maker,” wrote Lofton. Cooper was first or second on 10 of the 11 ballots.

Hill figures to get a few nominations for NFL play of the year – but it wasn’t on special teams. The 5-foot-10 dynamo stunned the Cowboys with a touchdown on the final play of the first half in a game Kansas City lost.

The Chiefs were on their 44 with 2 seconds left before halftime when Hill caught a short pass from Alex Smith with most of the Dallas defense playing near the goal line. With three blockers in front, Hill motored around Orlando Scandrick at the 25, cut behind two blocks from Demarcus Robinson inside the 10 and sidestepped linebacker Anthony Hitchens to finish the stunning TD.

”He’s as special a guy as I’ve ever seen in person,” said Jets special teams coordinator Brant Boyer, who worked out Hill before last year’s draft. ”There is not a guy with more juice than that guy. He’s a special, special athlete and his burst#2# his acceleration, his patience, he has it all.”

Agnew, a fifth-round pick, is the only player with two returns for touchdowns this season – both on punts. He got the other first-place vote and had 68 points to Switzer’s 60.

”The rookie from San Diego leads the league in punt return average (16.8 yards), longest runback (88 yards) and touchdowns (two), so he’s an easy pick,” Wilner wrote of Agnew. ”Besides, with the lack of kickoff returns#3# guys who field punts should get priority.”

Switzer finished a somewhat surprising third considering he hadn’t done much before returning a punt 83 yards for a touchdown two weeks ago. It was a pivotal moment in a win over NFC East rival Washington because it gave quarterback Dak Prescott enough time to get the swelling down on a hand injury and not miss any snaps.

Tarik Cohen of Chicago finished fifth with 57 points, and Seattle’s Tyler Lockett was sixth.

”Cohen handles both kicks and punts and deserves to make this list on the 61-yard punt return for a TD against San Francisco, much less everything he’s done,” wrote San Francisco-based AP writer Josh Dubow.

Lockett was named on the second-most ballots – 10.

”He hasn’t scored since his rookie year in 2015, but his ability to handle both punts and kickoffs among the league’s best is a rare skill,” AP’s Minnesota-based Dave Campbell wrote.

Oakland’s Cordarrelle Patterson was seventh, followed by New England’s Dion Lewis, Tennessee’s Adoree’ Jackson and Baltimore’s Michael Campanaro to round out the top 10.

EDITOR’S NOTE – The Associated Press is ranking the top 10 players at a different position every week of the NFL season, based on votes by Pro Football Hall of Famer James Lofton and AP football writers Simmi Buttar#4# Dave Campbell, Schuyler Dixon, Josh Dubow, Howard Fendrich, Rob Maaddi, Arnie Stapleton, Teresa M. Walker, Dennis Waszak Jr. and Barry Wilner. This feature is sent on Fridays.

MADISON Falcons Logan Paulsen Jersey , Wis. (AP) Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he thinks NFL players should stop protesting during the national anthem and instead speak out against domestic violence.

The Republican former presidential hopeful sent a letter Monday to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith saying he believes players are showing disrespect for the flag and veterans. Players should drop the ”divisive political sideshow” and speak out against domestic violence instead, the governor wrote.

NFL league meetings Tuesday offer an opportunity to strongly condemn domestic violence, Walker added.

Article continues below ...

”My request is simple: stand for the American flag and the national anthem out of respect for those who risk their lives for our freedoms, and then take a stand against domestic violence to keep American families safe Falcons Justin Bethel Jersey ,” Walker wrote. ”That’s something we can all agree on, and that just might help the NFL reunite with many of its devoted fans.”

Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the protests last season when he refused to stand during the anthem to protest racial inequality and police brutality. With Kaepernick out of the league this year, other players have taken up his cause.

President Donald Trump has been pressuring owners to discipline players who don’t stand for the anthem. Asked why Walker decided to inject himself into the debate, the governor’s spokesman Falcons Calvin Ridley Jersey , Tom Evenson, said October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the governor was moved by survivors’ stories he heard at the annual Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse awards ceremony last week.

The letter comes a day after the Green Bay Packers lost star quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone during a game against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers may be out for the season.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy has said backup Brett Hundley will replace Rodgers. Still, questions are swirling about whether the Packers might try to sign Kaepernick, who was born in Milwaukee and lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until he was four years old.

Evenson said the letter wasn’t meant to signal the Packers shouldn’t consider Kaepernick as a replacement for Rodgers. Walker tweeted yesterday after the game that the Packers should sign former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who played for Burlington High School in southeastern Wisconsin. Romo retired from football this year and now works as a game commentator for CBS.

Asked for a response to Walker’s letter, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an email to The Associated Press that the NFL is addressing domestic violence issues through training for men and women affiliated with the league and its teams. He added that people who fall below the league’s standards are held accountable through a revised personal conduct policy. He didn’t address Walker’s letter or the anthem protests.

A spokeswoman for the players association didn’t immediately reply to an emails seeking comment.

Wisconsin state Rep. Melissa Sargent#4# a Madison Democrat, issued a statement accusing Walker of ignoring domestic violence within the NFL for years. She said Walker’s letter is a political stunt designed to make himself feel relevant.

This story has been updated to correct that Walker tweeted after the game, not during it.

KANSAS CITY Dolphins Jerome Baker Jersey , Mo. — Jamaal Charles ran through the tunnel onto the field at Arrowhead Stadium 51 times as he built a legacy in Kansas City as the Chiefs’ all-time leading rusher.

Even so, he is unsure what response awaits him Monday night when takes the field as a member of the Denver Broncos.

“I really don’t even know,” Charles said. “I’m just going up in there to play football like I’ve been doing my whole life. I gave my all when I was with the Chiefs.”

Article continues below ...

Charles’ saga over the last two years provided a roller coaster of emotions for the 30-year-old running back, who rushed for 7,260 yards, added 2,457 receiving and scored 63 touchdowns over nine seasons in Kansas City. Charles tore the ACL in his right knee in October 2015, costing him the bulk of his season. He returned in 2016, but knee inflammation limited him to only 12 carries in three games.

The Chiefs (5-2) parted ways with Charles in February Dolphins Mike Gesicki Jersey , and the four-time Pro Bowler signed in May with the Broncos (3-3).

“A lot of people think I’m a traitor just because I’m playing with the Broncos, but I’m just trying to get me a job at the end of the day,” Charles said. “I’m happy that the Broncos kept that dream alive for me. I’m happy to continue to start a legacy after … I started one with the Chiefs.”

Charles is averaging eight touches per game through the Broncos’ first six contests, but coach Vance Joseph envisions an expanded role for the veteran as the season progresses.

“Some of it by purpose, some of it just the games we’ve been in, but absolutely we want to get him more touches because he’s so explosive,” Joseph said. “I’m just waiting for him to have one of those Jamaal Charles breakout runs.”

More touches for Charles appears exactly what the struggling Denver offense needs. Joseph said the Broncos play their best when running the football, avoiding long third downs and dictating terms to the defense.

“Our goal is to get back to our formula,” Joseph said. “Our three wins look the same Dolphins Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , and our three losses look the same. We’re looking to get back to what we do best.”

The Chiefs put an emphasis on quashing the run last week against Oakland and succeeded, holding the Raiders to 88 yards on the ground. However, Oakland quarterback Derek Carr gashed Kansas City’s pass defense for 417 yards, driving his club to a 31-30 comeback victory.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid wants to see his team stay aggressive against the run while improving its pass rush.

“We actually did pretty good against the run this past week, and we can do a little bit better of getting pressure on them,” Reid said. “There’s all different kinds of areas and we can put them in better positions to do it. “

Many Chiefs fans saw red when Charles signed with the Broncos. It’s said time heals all wounds, but finding a worthy successor to Charles certain helped as well.

The Chiefs found their heir apparent in this year’s draft with Kareem Hunt, and his historic start helped soothe the heartburn precipitated by the departure of Charles. Hunt has emerged as a leading Rookie of the Year candidate in helping the Chiefs rank second in the league at 29.6 points per game.

Hunt leads the NFL with 717 rushing yards and also has 25 catches for 285 yards with six total touchdowns, though hasn’t scored in the last four games. He topped 100 yards from scrimmage in each of his first seven games, a league record he hopes to extend Monday night.

Charles sees an all-around back in Hunt.

“He’s taken over the tradition of the running backs where Larry Johnson took over from Priest Holmes, I took over from Larry Johnson,” Charles said. “I’m happy for the guy. I wish the guy breaks all my records.”

Charles said he credits Reid for helping himself and other Chiefs, including Hunt, achieve their greatness.

“Andy Reid is a great offensive mind,” Charles said. “He can get any average person or any guy that can come into his offense and make plays and make them look like superstars.”

Reid shares similar warm feelings for Charles.

“I like Jamaal,” Reid said. “I’m not telling you I am pulling for him on Monday. The other times I am pulling for him. He is a good kid and sure was a great player here.”

That connection between the Chiefs and Charles runs deep, making an emotional affair likely Monday night. When former general manager John Dorsey called Charles to let him know the Chiefs planned to release him, Dorsey discussed plans for making sure Charles retired as a Chief and putting his name along the club’s Ring of Honor inside Arrowhead Stadium.

Charles#4# though, stands grateful the Broncos let him continue his career, though part of him remains in Kansas City.

“Some people probably don’t think that I (am), but in my heart, I’m always a Chief,” Charles said.

So if folks in Cincinnati, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Jacksonville and Nashville are beside themselves after Sunday’s action – and the Jaguars and Titans won – who can blame them?

”We’ve obviously got the talent,” Bengals linebacker Carl Lawson said after Cincinnati self-destructed -sound familiar? – in a 24-20 defeat at Tennessee. ”But talent doesn’t win games.”

That the Bengals have the skills isn’t as evident as Lawson says. That they stop thinking at critical junctures of games is far too apparent.

Last week, it was A.J. Green, usually the consummate pro, getting into a fight. This time, it was Vontaze Burfict – yes Cheap Mark Andrews Jersey , him again – getting ejected, and quite possibly suspended, for touching an official.

”It’s tough on him (Burfict) being one of our best players and getting thrown out of a game is not a great feeling,” Green reasoned. ”You hurt your team. I did it last week, and I regret it. I’m embarrassed with what I did last week, but you can’t lose your cool.”

It was even worse for the Chargers and, despite victory, the Jags. They each had a string of no-thought moments in a wacky affair won 20-17 in overtime by Jacksonville.

Try this, all after the two-minute warning:

After Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles throws into double coverage and Tre Boston intercepts a tipped pass, rookie Austin Ekeler fumbles in the backfield with the Chargers trying to run down the clock. Tashaun Gipson picks up the ball and runs for 35 yards for an apparent touchdown, but officials rule he was touched down after a replay review.

Chargers safety Trevor Williams gets flagged for pass interference, putting the Jaguars in field-goal range. Bortles throws deep to Marqise Lee and a flag flies in the end zone. Lee expects defensive pass interference and does a dance that officials determine is taunting. Plus, no penalty for LA.

”I probably celebrated a little bit too much Cheap Jaleel Scott Jersey ,” Lee said.

”At the end of the day, I’m not changing any type of emotion in this game. That’s a fact.”

Then Boston picks off Bortles again. Rather than return the ball in an open field, he steps out of bounds and, like Lee, begins celebrating.

”That was one of the dumb things,” Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said. ”Never seen it before.”

LA goes three-and-out as Jacksonville uses its timeouts.

Downfield Jacksonville marches, but it stalls until DE Joey Bosa gets flagged for roughing the passer with 24 seconds remaining. Josh Lambo’s 34-yard field forces OT.

In overtime, Jags cornerback A.J. Bouye wrestles a deep pass away from Travis Benjamin and returns the interception to the 2-yard line, but teammate Aaron Colvin gets called for taunting.

Eventually, Lambo nails the winning field goal anyway.

”I’m exhausted right now,” Jaguars coach Doug Marrone said. ”I’m shot. I’m shot. … I’m living and dying on every single play with every call that we have. So after the game is over, I’m shot.”

Tennessee also survived even though first-round pick Corey Davis cost it a likely touchdown at the end of a 19-yard catch-and-run play. He lost control of the ball as he reached across the goal line, and while teammate DeMarco Murray caught the ball past the goal line Cheap Kenny Young Jersey , he was out of bounds. Originally ruled a TD, it was reversed to a touchback on replay review.

”I shouldn’t have put my team in that position,” Davis said.

No, he shouldn’t have.

Chicago had no excuses for drawing seven penalties in the first half, plus three more that were declined. The Bears were coming off a bye and should have been plenty prepared.

”It seems uncharacteristic for us,” said QB Mitchell Trubisky, who as a rookie probably doesn’t know quite yet what Chicago’s traits are. ”We were locked in, ready to go, but I guess we weren’t just focused at that moment. So we’re going to analyze that. We know that’s one of our weaknesses right now. I mean, we’re only hurting ourselves.”

They are also hurting in the Jersey Meadowlands. The Giants now have as many wins as the 49ers – one – after falling at San Francisco in yet another debacle under beleaguered coach Ben McAdoo.

No need to chronicle everything that went wrong yet again for New York. Let cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s comments suffice.

”We got schooled,” said Rodgers-Cromartie, who has been suspended once this season by the principal, uh Cheap Orlando Brown Jr. Jersey , the coach, for breaking team rules. ”I did not see enough relentless play, attitude. You name it, I did not see it. Everything we should have done, I felt we did not do it.”
